FAQ
how much does coverage cost?
Just as every client is different, so is every quote. With that in mind, full day wedding coverage begins at $10,000 and can vary based on date, location and coverage desired. A custom quote will be sent to you within 48 hours of contacting me. Pricing always includes all costs and can be further customised to suit your needs.
I haven’t gotten a response to an email…did you reply?
Please check your junk or spam folder, or your promotions folder if you haven’t seen a reply come to your inbox. You can also reach out directly to katie@katiegrantphoto.com if you still cannot find the response or information. I strive to respond to each and every person, even if I am unavailable, booked, or traveling so please do follow up.
Do I have to arrange your travel?
I always make 100% of my own travel arrangements including air, land, car and accomodation for myself and any team members unless otherwise specified. Travel will not be additional to your custom quote, even if the cost of travel changes prior to your wedding. I ensure we arrive the morning prior to the commencement of any coverage as this cushion allows for any potential travel delays, travel recovery, and venue/location scouting.
Can I give you a shot list?
Part of the benefit of hiring a professional photographer is knowing you can trust them to fully document your day, and capture all of those important details and moments as they occur. I do not work off of a shot list but do work closely with you to ensure I know your family dynamics for family portraits, and ensure I know if there are any additions or changes to immediate family portraits. Along with this, I also work closely with your planner and stylist to document all of your unique elements, decor and special details.
What should I bring on my wedding day to be photographed?
Either you or your planner should bring along a copy of your invitation suite and calligraphed items. Along with this, items naturally present such as your wedding rings, dress, attire, and any other special items will be documented.
How long will my images take?
Your wedding gallery will be ready within 8 weeks of your wedding date. Your portrait gallery will be ready within 4 weeks of the shoot date.
Can I have all the images from my wedding?
You will receive a curated and fully edited gallery with approximately 70-100 images per hour of coverage. For the standard 8 hours of coverage, you can expect about 600-800 final, edited images depending on scope, timeline, events, details and portraits.
Can I order an album or prints?
Your custom quote will outline printed options including heirloom albums. These can always be added and ordered after your wedding date, even if you didn’t originally opt for any products. All purchased albums are designed to tell your unique story and can be edited and customised by clients before going to print.
Do you shoot film or digital?
A majority of my work is shot on film, and always backed up throughout the day with digital. For me, film captures the world in a uniquely magical way and I choose to shoot most of the day using this medium. In lower light situations, I switch to digital as I find it performs better for these scenarios. You will receive your final images, both film and digital, in one curated and cohesively edited gallery.
What does your assistant do?
My assistant accompanies me on all work. They are an integral part of my team and workflow and help to keep me organised and on track so that I can be fully present. My assistant rolls film, holds lights, organises cameras, consults with other vendors, and shoots when I need them to. For this reason, I rarely need a second photographer but will advise clients if I feel they need to add a third team member to use as a second photographer to fully document their day. This is typically recommended when an event is of a certain scale, traverses wide distances, or has a tight timeline that cannot be adjusted.
